    CHAPTER 3 Transition of Classical Music to Film Music It was my earnest view that before dealing with the main topic it would be appropriate to bring the importance of the origin and modifications taken place in Hindustani music. Our music directors and singers were trained people in the classical Hindustani Music. They also wanted to bring the classical music to the public in such a manner that they would appreciate and start liking the songs. Aim of the music directors was to capture maximum number of audience.
